Wedding Date on Jul 5, 2025

Haley and Katie's story started with an adventure: they met on a trip that Haley led in Cuba! As one of their close friends describes it, their love story took off "like a rocket ship" from the very beginning. With Haley running her travel business and Katie flying right beside her, their relationship has taken them all over the world, from New York to Belize and from Havana to Hood River. On a visit to Hope Ranch Lavender Farm, the two fell in love with the owners and the location. Nestled between the towering peaks of Mount Hood and Mount Adams, the farm seemed like the perfect location for their dream wedding. The farm wasn't a wedding venue before Katie and Haley came along, and the owners were wonderful to work with, embracing the brides' vision and transforming it into an even more magical space than it was before. The moments that make the couple are so important in every wedding video because they tell so much more than the story of the wedding day. It's these details that set each couple apart in their own unique way and tell their full love story—how they got here, where they're going, and why they chose each other. Haley mentioned a special detail to me before her wedding day. She told me that her late father often watches over her in the form of birds, and she can feel him in special moments when birds are near. During her first look with Katie, one of the largest hawks I've ever seen flew right over them! I caught their attention and pointed out the beautiful bird. The moment was so raw and tender, everyone present cried. I'll never forget it. The personal vows they shared at their ceremony were pure poetry. Haley mixed so many song lyrics into her vows, she had their friends and family laughing and crying all at once! With their siblings co-officiating, we heard so many stories of the couple when they were young, and the two officiants proudly declared their sisters "wives" as the sun shone behind them all and celebratory lavender flew through the air. Katie and Haley’s ceremony was filled with games, laughter, hugs, and lavender picking as everyone enjoyed the sunshine and live music. With travel being such a huge theme in their story, Haley and Katie themed their wedding around this, and their friends reflected it beautifully in their toasts, wishing them "joy in the detours, strength in the turbulence, and love at every stop along the way." I've rarely seen anything more beautiful than the sunset that day as Haley and Katie kissed and laughed between the rows of lavender, the sun glowing behind them and the mountains in the distance. Truly a fairytale evening. Finally, to crown a perfect day and a packed dance floor, the brides changed one more time into inflatable pink unicorn costumes, prancing through the lavender fields and joining their guests on the dance floor as their live band played "Pink Pony Club." A perfect ending to a perfect day.
