Wedding Date on Mar 16, 2019

From the bride: "I remember the first time I saw Timmy — It was my birthday weekend and I was riding with friends to our church building before hopping on a bus to Cocoa Beach for a retreat, and when we pulled into the parking lot I saw him tossing a football with his friends. We barely caught eyes but he DEFINITELY seemed like the kinda guy who was too cool for me. He was the silent type who didn’t really say much, but when he did, he’d say something witty and hilarious, and was clearly great at sports (hint: I am NOT lol). Over the course of the weekend we both did our own thing, not really crossing paths except for quick glances here and there (golly, I couldn’t get over how cute all his freckles were) until our last lunch before heading back to Tally. We stopped at a Sonny’s and I slid into the booth he was sitting at and plopped down right next to him. “You know, you really do look like Jared,” I said. (That was a normal thing to say, right? No way, that was too vague. Way to go, ya weirdo.) “How do you know my brother,” he said with a slight side eye in my direction. I went on to explain that Jared was my church’s intern for the summer and had told me all about his church and friends in Tallahassee when he found out I was attending FSU in the fall. Then, as Timmy went to grab something, he spilled his pink lemonade ALL over himself and froze exactly where he was with the most hilarious expression on his face — probably one of the funniest things I’d seen in a while. I was laughing uncontrollably as he sat there covered in lemonade (probably embarrassed, but I thought it was the best moment of the whole weekend). After a couple months of hanging out together with friends (shout out to Adwoa and Rebecca for being the shoulder angels telling Timmy he should just go for it), I got a Facebook message. “Hey I don’t know about you, but I would really like to hang out with you sometime… 😉” (*internal screaming*) We went on our first date to the movies and it was honestly kind of awakard. But if Timmy says it was because I was mad he didn't kiss me, he is so wrong lol -- everyone reading this knows Timmy can be pretty quiet and it made me think he didn't like me that much! After I got home from Christmas break, I hung out at Adwoa and Becca's house for a night of singing 90's and 00's hits with friends when all of a sudden, Timmy bursts into song when Gone by N*sync started playing. He jokingly hit the doorframe while singing with passion, and that's when I knew. That was the moment I thought, "Yep, I'm gonna text that kid to hang out again." And the rest is history!" From the groom: "We were on a vacation with Alexis's family on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was the last night of the cruise, and right after dinner we convinced her we should take pictures of the sunset on the top deck -- she excitedly agreed but I was so nervous! We got to the top, took a couple of pictures when she tried to see what they looked like. Her sister ushered her back to the railing where I was standing and told her they were going to just take a bunch (the whole family was in on the plan). At that point, we took a couple of "pictures" (her family was actually filming) and then I got down on one knee! She was so surprised and she cried"
