Due to COVID-19, only seven immediate family members were present at this sweet ceremony in the back yard of the groom's childhood home. But don't let the intimate setting fool you - this wedding day was full of emotion, beauty, and surprises that had everyone in tears! When COVID-19 hit, this couple wanted to keep their original wedding date, so instead of getting married in Charleston amongst lots of people, they were wed in the backyard of the groom's childhood home. Simplicity often lends itself to beauty; Garrett and Ashley's day was full of emotion, memories, and sweet surprises. When neighbors heard the back yard ceremony occurring, they quickly grabbed 4th of July sparklers and cheered from their golf carts as the happy couple became husband and wife. Another surprise was in store when later that night, all the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family unable to be present, gave virtual toasts wishing Garrett and Ashley love and happiness. Don't miss the little gem at the very end - the last groomsmen toasts with a can of Corona in hand.
