Last Saturday, we were transported to another time from the very moment we stepped in to Alexis and Spencer’s elegant, timeless wedding with Great Gatsby vibes. They chose Laurel Hall for their venue and the venue couldn’t have been more perfect for their wedding day aesthetic.
In typical midwest fashion, the weather was unpredictable so their ceremony and reception were moved inside to avoid the on and off rain. Normally, that would be such a bummer but wow, Laurel Hall felt even more elegant and cozy with the rain falling outside.
We loved using the solarium at Laurel Hall for details and plenty of portraits! The room has such incredible light and the greenery in the room tied in perfectly to the deep green, jewel toned wedding colors.
We had an incredible time capturing their day on photo and video. If we have to pick a few favorite moments from Alexis and Spencer’s fall wedding day, they’d be:
1) Their epic dance floor: The DJ did an incredible job keeping the dance floor flowing and the whole wedding danced and celebrated all night. There were just a few breaks on the dance floor: a quick snack break for some KOK breadsticks and a fulfilled sparkler exit.
2) The emotional, candid moments with their wedding party and family throughout the day. We loved how everyone was so in the moment - from the beginning of the day to the end of the night.
3) The colors! I couldn’t not include this as a favorite - my very favorite color is the deep green, emerald jewel tone that Alexis wove all throughout their wedding day!
