Wedding Date on Oct 2, 2021

Valerie and Martin met through a mutual friend who insisted they were the same person and had to meet. One evening while at the gym, Valerie received a text from an unknown number saying “I heard you like lifting weights, fluffy dogs, and fun dates” which pretty much hit the nail on the head! Valerie met Martin's Labradoodle, Murray, before she met Martin, and from that point the rest was history. Since then, they've traveled the world from Europe to Australia, built a home, and extended their furry family to include Marleau, their Bernedoodle. Doing life together wasn't a question since the day they met. They are best friends and pretty much attached at the hip. Martin proposed in April 2020 in the middle of a pandemic at home with their pups in their kitchen. He put together a slideshow on the television of all the amazing photos from the thousands of memories they've made together. Valerie found herself in tears before her brain even had the chance to grasp what was going on. Valerie and Martin chose the Montage Palmetto Bluff for their destination wedding weekend because Hilton Head (a beach town close by) is like a second home to them. It holds such a special place in their hearts that they wanted to share it with all their loved ones. Montage Palmetto Bluff, nestled along the South Carolina coast, was the perfect backdrop for Valerie and Martin's wedding weekend. Its coastal, southern charm provided amazing locations for both formal and informal events planned for their guests. From morning yoga to a full court basketball game, guests could join in on the pre-wedding activities or bike around the property in search of the perfect ocean views. Valerie wore a luxury wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier. For their reception and choreographed first dance, she changed into a floral print, off the shoulder gown, also by Monique Lhuillier. They gave us all the Fred and Ginger vibes watching them float across the dance floor to the lovely music provided by the Rising Tide band out of Charleston.
