THESE TWO!
Sydney + Kevin are two of the coolest people I've met, and it's so obvious when you meet someone and it just *clicks*.
Kimberly and I headed out to Palo Duro Canyon to shoot their engagement session, and let me say it did *not* disappoint (the biting flies and blistering heat may have been inconvenient at most, but we got through it🤪).
These two adventure lovers opted for the unconventional, and they're actually eloping in Big Sur in October, so I knew we'd be capturing something really fun and unique.
We started in the bottom of the canyon during golden hour, and worked our way up to catch blue hour on the rim of the canyon and sweet overlook spot. I've been wanting to shoot in front of a car for awhile, and these two were more than happy to oblige-- not to mention Syd had just gotten a brand new car, so she had to flex on us😤
We were able to capture the nighttime nostalgic, dream-like sequence using only their car headlights, and we had a tiny sliver of sunset left, just enough to give some romantic color to a few of the nighttime shots.
After a day of sunburns, bug bites, and that *lovely* Texas summer heat, we knew we had captured something bold and bonafide for these two lovers.
Cheers to Sydney + Kevin
