Wedding Date on Aug 17, 2019

On March 24, 2016 Susie swiped right and the rest is history. Kidding - but it’s really kind of true. Like many modern romances, Susie and Brittany met on a dating app as you may have already figured out. Due to busy schedules, they did not actually meet in person for nearly 2 weeks. Susie was incredibly nervous and may or may not have taken a double shot of tequila ahead of the meeting. Bottoms up! They were both living in Boston at the time so Susie suggested they go to Beantown Pub because she knew they had pool tables, so in the event the date went south they had an activity to make things less awkward. Brittany ended up being about an hour late due to work and traffic. As a result, Susie made friends with a few 50 something-year-old men and was three sheets to the wind by the time Brittany arrived. Needless to say, the date went very well and they closed down the place. Next day Susie suggested they get a proper dinner that evening (power move). Brittany accepted and they had a perfect meal, by the end of the night Susie sealed the deal with a kiss. Fast forward to September 28, 2018. The couple has always talked openly about wanted to spend other lives with each other, having a family, etc. They began talking about marriage more seriously. Susie was pretty adamant she wanted Brittany to propose to her first (this was all part of her cover plan to throw her off), so Brittany was convinced a proposal was not in the immediate future. Several months prior, Susie knew she wanted to find the perfect ring and start the process. With the help of her family she was able to find one - and settled on the perfect place to propose: an apple orchard. Despite the rain, things went off without a hitch. The newly engaged couple met up with all of their family and friends at a nearby taproom and the rest was history. Brittany and Susie got married on August 17, 2019 at Basilica Hudson in Hudson, New York. It was the perfect day surrounded by family and friends. Guests were wowed by their incredible gowns, intimate ceremony - and incredibly fun reception. Together, they’ve lived in Boston, Chicago and Brooklyn together and have adopted a puppy named Walter, Brittany also took in Susie’s first love, her 11-year-old Jack Russel, Remy. They also recently bought a 1970 VW bus to fix up. Congrats to Brittany and Susie - let us know when we can hang out with those pups of yours! ;)
