Randy & I met while both working at The Yard House in 2012. We became engaged the weekend of our 5th year anniversary, and eloped on July 7, 2020. A few years ago, we visited Tahoe for the first time during the winter. We had the best experience and had always wanted to revisit during the summer as we were told the water was so clear, you could see through it! That sounded so wonderful. Since we hadn’t gotten a chance to go back since then, we decided this would be the perfect opportunity. When we first found The Hytch, I was immediately inspired. We loved the idea of an non-traditional elopement “pop-up”. We were going for blue/grey and gold tones (we wanted elegant/boho but also slightly moody vibes) and had sent Yeliz (from The Hytch) some photos. We trusted her vision and knew she would run with the idea and make it amazing... and we were so happy with the outcome! The most special part of our elopement was being wed by one of our closest friends, Casey. It meant so much to us to share a once-in-lifetime moment with someone so special to our heart. Besides our elopement, one of our most enjoyable activities was LED kayaking on the lake at night with our videographers, Dax and Pao. It was so cool and we had a blast. We have recommended that to all of our friends and family that visit Tahoe, it’s truly such a unique experience. Dax & Pao, along with our photographer, took us to some pretty memorable places such as Emerald Bay and the Sardine Lakes (about 2 hours north of Tahoe). We also rented a boat and spent a day on the water. We had the best elopement week and probably the best vacation of our lives (so far) and are so grateful to our special vendors who made it all possible!
