“Life in Happy Hues,” a Colorful, Elegant Dream Wedding at the Thomas Bennett House, Charleston SC
Sara and Reilly are “The Happy Place” and you can see it in the way they look at each other, the way they are with their friends, with their family, and that undefinable energy the two have around them when they’re together. Like a lot of our videos, music plays such a huge part, starting with La Vie en Rose. One of the ways to translate “La Vie en Rose” is “Life in Happy Hues,” which works so perfectly for Sara and Reilly’s wedding day, from the bold and elegant colors, to the spectacular flower arrangements, the bridesmaids dresses, even their outfits at the rehearsal dinner, there is just that happy colorful glow throughout. Since Sara’s an interior designer, all the details were so important, and she had the best planner and florist to make her vision become a brilliant and beautiful reality that day.
We were also lucky to be able to use the song from their first dance in the video, and it’s become one of our personal favorites now too, it’s so perfect! There’s a young love element to the song that nicely mirrors the theme of both Sara and Reilly as young kids, dreaming of this day, dreaming of this person in front of them. Sara playing with wedding gowns as a child, and Reilly dreaming of the person he might marry someday, and that dream magically becoming real in front of him.
With the help of some amazing toasts, these two who are the “epitome of friendship” can use their new spyglass to navigate the unknown, and look ahead to so many adventures to come. Cheers to this beautiful couple making their happy place expand and expand over the years to come!
