Wedding Date on Nov 3, 2019

I met him in 2011 through a mutual friend. I remember being really excited because I thought he was so hot and I couldn't wait to meet him. I was super nervous about it but the second time we met, I thought he wouldn't like me and we didn't talk at all but when I got home -- there was a message from him waiting on my FB. I knew I was in love in 2011, when he came over during a heatwave. He came sweating, to just hanging out, and I have never been nervous like that in my life. When they say butterflies in the stomach -- I swear I almost threw them up. We stayed up all night and didn't even sleep. Just talked. I loved him since then. It was a long time in the making, proposing to the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. As simple as the proposal might appear, I put a lot of thought into the "perfect proposal". I searched many restaurants, overall locations, possibly a different country altogether but ultimately landed where we both love to spend time together, our home. I set up THE MOST cliché romantic scenario I could have come up with. Rose petals on the floor in the shape of a heart, candles galore, jazz music in the background, "I LOVE YOU" spelled out in balloons, and finally long stem roses in a vase. I had plenty of time to prepare it all and even went over what I was going to say. My sister Julie and her husband, Amir were keeping her preoccupied while I was perfecting the scene. Then, it was time, she was coming home. I got in the middle of the heart, sweating because of the heat coming off the candles. I can hear her walking towards the door, keys in the lock, the door opens and...I forget every word I rehearsed and was just staring at her. Once I finally began to speak, I am pretty sure I asked her to spend the rest of her life with me and I believe she said yes, otherwise this is awkward. It was done, we were ENGAGED!
