Wedding Date on Jun 16, 2018

Rory and Sasha's Wedding at the East Ivy Mansion in Nashville, TN. Rory and I met during our sophomore year at Vanderbilt University (where our ceremony is!) at a party. We both studied engineering and enjoyed the live music scene in Nashville. We crossed paths at a party, but soon realized we had many classes together as we were both studying Engineering, (him) a Mechanical Engineer and (me) a Biomedical Engineer. We enjoyed the next 3 years at Vandy together, going to many Kappa Sig and Tri Delt date parties, pulling all-nighters for exams, and listening to live music at the local Nashville honkey tonks. After graduation, I moved to Kansas City, MO for work in 2012 and Durham, NC for graduate school in 2014 before joining Rory in Washington, DC, where we currently reside with our cat, Chanel. Rory proposed on the Georgetown Waterfront, in Washington, DC where we live. I thought I was going shopping with one of my best friends, Mary Anne, and then meeting Rory and Mary Anne's boyfriend Sean for drinks. Little did I know that Rory had a fun evening full of proposing and a surprise party with our family and friends in DC planned for that night! :) I work for a software company doing development and implementation. Rory is a project manager for a construction contracting company. We love to try new restaurants, drink wine, and take walks around DC and the monuments together.
