Where do we even begin? Ben, being a journalist has a way with words that could make a grown man cry. And, Robyn, oh yeah - she has her own set of skills. We believe if these two met in any time period they would be together. Their bond is that solid. Call it fate, soulmates or sheer luck - it was a chance meeting that brought this pair together. While Ben waited patiently for his lady love, we were treated to fog & dramatic clouds at Tonquin Beach. Multiple flights of wooden stairs provided some serious anticipation for their first look, nestled in between the ocean and the trees. Following a pit stop at Tofino Brewing Co. they ventured to their ceremony at McKenzie beach. As they spoke, Robyn & Ben shared words of appreciation and affirmation in a promise to love each other, for keeps. We were treated to a gorgeous September day and as the sun fell, friends and family indulged in a 'grazing in the garden' cocktail hour at Tofino's Botanical Gardens. A cameo by 2 resident goats was met with delight, excitement and maybe a few kisses, too. Tacofino's superb mexican feast put the guests in a happy food coma while we snuck away for a little golden hour love sesh a few minutes down the road at North Chesterman. The moon & sky acted as willing participants to the majestic west coast landscape as we snagged some incredible shots of these two practicing their first dance. The night whirled into dancing, shenanigans & laughter while we were left feeling all filled up. While we know we are so lucky to be able to capture such incredible stories of love & commitment, we are even more excited for Robyn & Ben to relive their wedding experience in Tofino again & again. Thanks to Aranza Grant of White Event Studio for curating such a gorgeous reception at Tofino Botanical Gardens & to Kristy & Ken of Blush Wedding Photography for being such a solid team to work with.
