How Rena and Ari met depends on who you ask - Ari will tell you that we met at a Hardware store. Rena will say we met through a dating app. The full story is that they met via a dating app and our first date was at a speak easy in Astoria whose front was a hardware store! We ended up having two drinks and continuing the conversation at an Italian restaurant over dinner where Ari impressed Rena with his knowledge of Architecture. Rena and Ari are both from New York, though Ari likes to take that claim for himself since he was both born and raised in the city. Rena was born in NYC but grew up in Zimbabwe (southern Africa) and Westchester (suburbs of NYC).
