Randolphe & I met in pure millennial fashion, through a dating app. Before we met in person, we used Marco Polo, which I could describe as facetime, but on your schedule. After a week of this, we met in person & have been attached at the hip ever since. Not really, but our love grew quickly. About a year later, we were back at the spot of one of our earlier dates, where I thought we were going to have a do over of a missed romantic opportunity. I was shocked to find Randolphe down on one knee holding a ring box, and I said yes. We started planning our wedding and chose a date, one year later. 2020 was supposed to be the best year of our lives, and after the first quarter things were looking pretty bleak. The pandemic tested our relationship in ways we did not know were possible. April & May was filled with a lot of stress & wondering whether or not to go through with our big day schedule for summer. We finally made the decision to keep our date, but have some major modifications. We made sure everything was outdoors, shortened the event, and reduced our guest count to include only the wedding party & their partner/family. We made these changes very reluctantly, but wanted out family & friends that were there to feel as safe as they could. In the end, our micro-wedding was magical. We were very pleased with how beautiful everyone & and all of the outdoor decor looked. July 5th, 2020 will never be forgotten in our book. We planned this day through the pandemic, and come out with a stronger love & bond. Bring on the rest of our lives! In love & in Christ, we're stronger together!
