Rachel and Will's wedding took place in downtown Denver, Colorado. Between the Four Seasons, the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and the DCPA, these locations made for such a beautiful city wedding.
When I think about my “style” as a wedding filmmaker, I think of my roots. What led me to this craft in the first place. I feel very fortunate that I began this journey as a journalist. My foundation is storytelling. Story has been deeply engrained in everything I’ve done in my professional life. Which makes every project feel a lot more personal and meaningful. It’s always been about story and eliciting raw emotion for me.
I feel very grounded in this foundation of storytelling. I am confident that the viewer will come to know the lifeblood of a couple’s relationship. Who they are as individuals and why they blend so well together. How they fell in love & what makes them unique. Their core people who shaped them and led them to this love.
I ask my husband to watch every film before I send it off. I watch his face during key moments, making sure they resonate the way I intended. He told me recently “I feel like I know the couple so well by the end.” That is my hope with every single film. That a stranger comes to know the heart of the couple & more importantly, that the couple feels I have done their story justice.
I had a blast telling Rachel & Will’s story. They were incredibly intentional with every detail of their day which made it so special. And every second of this film is filled with intention to reflect their heart & story.
Here’s their film.
