From the second I talked to Paige the first time, I KNEW I wanted to film her and Michael’s destination wedding in Charleston. We connected, but on a different level for me. Her parents went to the same school I went to, and we didn’t realize that until we were on our first call. The story of these two, and their love for not only one another, but their families had me sold from the moment we first talked.
Humbled to have been flown across the country to document this journey for them. This wasn't just a wedding day, but the culmination of two families who spent years praying for one another, without even knowing it. This wedding was one of those weddings that I left and was a better man for having been there. I saw a glimpse into my future, and was reminded of the importance of prayer within a family for your children really is. What seemed to potentially be a story of destruction and despair, has been beautifully redeemed and couldn't have been woven together any better if you tried to do it yourself. They love each other, their God, their family, and their friends. And it showed.
They brought everyone out for this destination wedding in Charleston, South Carolina at Lowndes Grove. This venue was spectacular, the ceremony was God honoring, and filled with emotions. The entire week was unreal. From a boat ride with the wedding party, to the glorious sunset over the river the night of the wedding. I am blown away by this couple, and this family, and know this wedding, for me, is a game changer. It is the culmination of 15 years of building and growing, learning as an artist. John Bunn Films is almost here, and this film speaks to the true character of exactly the type of wedding I want to be filming.
To Paige and Michael, all I can say is thank you for trusting me. I really mean that. When I heard you had been searching youtube for years to find the right videographer, even before you had met Michael, I knew just how important wedding videography was to you. I don't take the job lightly of preserving your heirloom memories. I hope I did it well.
