Wedding Date on Aug 25, 2018

Michael was in a fraternity at Northern Illinois University (NIU) (located east, near Iowa) and I was in a sorority at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Fortunately for us, our organizations held events together despite the distance. We met through being in our respective orgs but we didn't "hit it off" until close to a year later where our friendship grew to a relationship. 7 years later and here we are :). Since we went to different schools, Michael would drive 1 - 1.5 hours every weekend to spend time with me. Thank goodness he loves driving! After graduating, he found a job in the city (and I as well upon graduating) which made it easier to see each other. We're human so we don't always agree on everything, but in the 7+ years that we've been together, there's never been a day that we haven't communicated (even if it's just a "good morning" from across the pacific ocean with limited cell service).
