Wedding Date on Oct 5, 2019

From the bride: We met through - drum roll, please - Tinder. There is a sort of funny story that goes along with this, because Brody's employee at the time (and temporary roommate!) had also matched with me simultaneously, and there was apparently a battle royale as to who would actually get to go on a date with me. Not to spoil the ending but... Brody won. Our favorite hobbies are probably watching horror movies (at my behest), traveling (since we started dating a little over a year and a half ago, we've traveled to 9 different countries and even more cities), checking out the latest new restaurant or bar (speakeasies are our favorite) and comparing them all to our favorite go-tos. Brody has been the absolute best boyfriend - and now fiancé - ever... he's always trying to plan dates and trips that match "my aesthetic," always surprising me (he sent me an email the day of our one year anniversary to pack and get ready for a flight to Nashville that night; over the holidays last year, he planned a surprise trip to Montreal & Mont Tremblant which I had really fond memories of, and always associated with Christmas/NYE), always putting me above his own needs and wants. Our proposal was in North Fork, Long Island (the "unHamptons Hamptons") which was perfectly kitsch and lovely and full of wineries - he proposed at the second winery stop of the day, in a private area nestled in a wall of greenery. I knew it was coming but, somehow, when he got down on that knee I ended up crying and laughing and saying "oh shit" regardless. It was great, and then we got to go to Morocco for an accidental engagement-moon right after!
