From The Bride: Our story began during the recreational soccer season of 2008. Both of our daughters played on the same soccer team and Johnny was the assistant coach. We were both married to other people at the time. Fast forward to January of 2013. Both Melissa and Johnny are divorced and looking for support through a singles group at Bayside Church in Granite Bay, CA. Johnny attends the group with a friend of his and runs into Melissa who is part of the welcoming team. Johnny can't remember where he had met Melissa previously and so she reminds him that he was her daughter's soccer coach. They continued to see each other at various singles events that they attended. Johnny also, with a little research, connected with Melissa on Facebook where they would stay in contact and message each other. Johnny loved Melissa very much but it took Melissa a little longer to feel the same. In April of 2013 Johnny left for Oklahoma to help his Dad build his house. While there, Melissa and Johnny grew closer by messaging and talking on the phone. Johnny would return to California periodically to visit Melissa and his two daughters. By the spring of 2014 Johnny returned to California for good and he and Melissa were committed to each other.
