Wedding Date on May 30, 2020

Megan and Garret’s journey to marriage is long and rich. They had known of each other for years and had occupied similar social spheres, but never interacted until one fateful snowboarding trip with friends. After dating for eight months, Megan met up with Garret and his family while they were in the Philippines for the International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where he proposed on a beautiful beach. Everything was set to plan an epic wedding with all of their loved ones. Then COVID-19 happened. Quickly they learned that the large celebration with family and friends they had dreamed of had to be changed to an intimate occasion with a handful of guests. It was hard for us not to cry when Megan described the innumerable adjustments they had to make and her disappointment that it would not be the day she originally envisioned. But as the day got closer and they kept working together to overcome the obstacles, they came to realize important truths - having the perfect wedding does not define your marriage, and the challenges they faced made them a better team and made the day even more special than they could have hoped. We are honored to be one of the few to witness Megan & Garret’s wedding in person and share their love story with you.
