Wedding Date on Jun 10, 2017

From The Bride: We met in October of 2011. May was on one of her wanderlust, yet last minute travels and Mitch out for his friend's birthday in New Orleans. We met and thought we were probably just ships passing through the night as May lived in New York City and Mitch lives in Baton Rouge. A deep understanding and connection was made after 3 months of chatting and writing before their first visit since the first meeting. About a year and a half later, May moved to be with Mitch leaving that NYC life behind for the love of her life on June 10th! Mitch couldn't be more happy and his two kids were excited for this new lady in their life as well. Mitch Proposed on June 10th 3 years later through tears of happiness and with "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds playing in the background (who they got to see live later that year!). After deciding that Baton Rouge was not where they wanted to celebrate their love, they looked to their second love and May's hometown of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Things just weren't sitting right with each venue visit, so they decided, with blessings from family, to elope/honeymoon with just the two of them to May's dream destination of Kauai! After searching high and low, they first secured an officiant after seeing random wedding videos with this guy cracking coconuts and with such a happy and sincere face. On his website, we were led to our photographer, Blenda, who was a perfect fit! Mia Moriguchi was found by looking on other photographer's websites as hair and makeup - she has a phenomenal touch. And last but not least, Michelle, from Zest Kauai shot this gorgeous video. And that was it. Five people to make this ceremony come to life and embedded in our memories as the best intimate moment to start our lives together.
