How They Met
“Matthew and I met in the UCF gym in Orlando, FL. We are both very into fitness and live very healthy lifestyles, so it was easy to connect and both work on our fitness goals together, while attending classes together at our University.”
Matthew’s Proposal Before the Wedding in Lake Mary
“My family went to Vail, Colorado for a week-long ski trip in the mountains. It was a great week spending time with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Matthew was meeting some of them for the first time! During the afternoon, Matt and I took a break from skiing to take a walk around our old neighborhood and town we used to live in. We were walking along a snowy path next to a creek we used to swim in. The spot overlooks some mountains and woods. Matt suggested we take a photo together. He propped up one of our phones for a self timer photo, and that’s when he knelt down and asked me to be his wife! The rest is history!”
Wedding Vision
“I envisioned our wedding in a beautiful building with lots of light and nature in the background. We’d be surrounded by our closest family and friends, just partying and celebrating life and love. I always wanted a very modern, white & blue wedding scheme, and crisp flowers everywhere.”
Their wedding in Lake Mary fit their vision perfectly!
The Big Day
“Words don’t do my wedding day justice- it was stunningly breathtaking. From the grand entrance into the foyer with photos of relatives weddings as a tribute to our guests, to the walk into the ceremony area. Stunning! The white draping, white/blue flowers, and the 4-string quartet playing classical music to set the mood. It was such a dream. I really wanted to incorporate a few activities into the ceremony that I hadn’t seen too much. The ring-warming and the unity ceremony with sand, and the poem by my husband’s sister, was just perfect! Cocktail hour was beautiful, as well. With the charcuterie board display and quartet playing again, overlooking the beautiful lake. Everything flowed so well!
Being introduced into the Reception as Mr. & Mrs. and finally doing our first dance after all the times practicing and the nerves – it was so perfect and romantic. Just being in the moment with everyone, doing a photo dash, doing a conga line, and dancing with literally everyone was a dream! The DJ, White Rose Entertainment, was the BEST! When things were winding down, and the milk and cookie late night snack was being passed around, that was so needed! It was a great surprise for everyone! As everyone was ushered outside before the last private dance, I was surprised with the amount of emotions we both had, soaking in the last moments of the grand day! And the grand finale with sparklers and everyone lined up leading us to the awaiting limo was magical! What an eventful, lively day full of love and happiness and positivity. It was everything we wanted it to be and more!”
Favorite Moment
“My favorite moment was the first dance with my husband, soaking in the first few moments as a married couple!”

“The color palette for our wedding in Lake Mary was white, light blue, and accents of gold. The flowers were white hydrangeas and baby’s breath and hints of blue. The gown was a trumpet shape, with lace and beading. The neck and bust area were gorgeous!! It felt very womanly, and showed off my curves in a classy way. We had succulent plants for favors, and some Mr. & Mrs. mints. The cake was a beautiful 4-tier, with Amaretto and raspberry flavoring. The 3-tier was a see-through case full of some of our wedding flowers!”
Advice for Couples on their Wedding Day
