From The Bride: Joey and I officially met on a hot summer night August 15, 2015 at a mutual friend's birthday party. To rewind just a bit, two years prior, my family went to a graduation party. Joey decided to sit at the same table since he knew my sister Sara from DePaul University. Later that evening I got a phone call from my mother on her way home saying "she met the perfect guy for me!" I didn't think anything of it since I was so wound up in nursing school. A few years passed and the day finally came where I couldn't resist but talk to this handsome gentleman, not knowing he was the guy my mom once spoke about. Before the night came to an end, Joey asked me for my number. The following morning, I received a text from Joey in reference to him possibly taking me out sometime. Let me tell you he planned it all. He ended up taking me to Millennium Park for their annual Jazz Festival. We were having such an amazing evening, that the night was followed by dinner reservations at Café Ba Ba Reeba. By the end of the night something whispered to me 'he is the one.' We ended up seeing each other 3 more times in that same week. It was easy, effortless, exactly how a relationship should be. Every single day was better than the next. As one year of us being together quickly flew by, Joey decided to propose!!! I was on a family vacation in Mexico celebrating my mothers 60th birthday when Joey decided to surprise me. My family and I were getting ready to take Christmas photos on the beach, when along comes Joey waiting for me on bended knee. I was speechless and quickly brought to tears. The best days of our lives were just beginning. It was a full moon when he proposed and a full moon when we got married. The Details: Our wedding took place on December 2, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois with the temperature being 58 degrees and sunny. The vision I had of our wedding day literally came to life in every way possible. From hair and makeup to the vibe, music, flowers and decorations; it was a dream come true. My bridesmaids looked like they were dipped in gold- all so stunning and beautiful. The groomsmen showed up as if they just walked out of the James Bond movie with their sharp, finely pressed, fitted tuxedos. As for the guests, it was a black tie event with luscious red balls of red roses everywhere you looked. It was breathtaking and classy, just the way I envisioned!
