A beautiful elopement beneath Sahalie Falls located in Sahalie Oregon for both Mackie and Dusty. Originally Planning to have their elopement in Thailand, COVID forced them to change directions and come up to the Pacific Northwest. Spending ample time before exploring everything Oregon has to offer.
The Day:
Everything started off at their air bnb just outside of Sahalie Falls to get ready. When Naba and I both saw their attire we were freaking out even with Dusty's subtle red suit. We grabbed some portraits of the both of them on the property and then ventured out to the falls.
When arriving we noticed the trail was getting some updates and repairs but the workers were nice enough to let us in for this special occasion. Honestly Sahalie falls is a beautiful location, so easy to access and really no hiking involved which is nice. They shared their ceremony right underneath the falls.
The Film:
This elopement film was something I was looking forward to for a long time. It had been eight months since I had filmed my last one due to COVID and everything getting pushed back. I spent a lot of time in the off season studying and trying to push myself creatively. I wanted to incorporate a Lakota prayer which was spoken by Dusty in the beginning of the film to make it more personal to them. Really happy with how everything came together and feeling immersed in their day.
So happy we crossed paths when we did, Cheers to you both!
