Julian was coming home from his first trial in Grundy, Virginia. He parked his car and was walking into his downtown apartment building when he dropped everything in his hands such as papers, suit jacket, etc. Classic. Lydia was walking behind him and immediately bent down to help pick up his stuff. At the time, Lydia didn't realize she would be helping to pick up spilled clothes, papers, food... you name it... for the rest of her life. Good thing, because she'd probably be a goner. Julian really hid the flaws well for the first few months. So they started talking - very on the surface stuff - and then made their way to the elevator. They both pushed “2” button! Turns out, they lived on the same floor and two doors down! When they exited the elevator they lingered a little outside their apartments. Not creepily, but just enough time for both of them to realize there was a spark. So they continued communicate through Facebook messaging. Then Facebook messaging turned to texting. Fast forward to June 19, 2017 at 9 P.M., Lydia sent him a text: "Happy Birthday! I hope you're out celebrating!" Well, turns out Lydia was on to something with the no friends thing. Julian was sitting on his couch eating Domino's. So Lydia insisted they go out for a drink. And Jack Brown's it was. They talked for 3 hours which was a done deal, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Who knew an "elevator pitch" would turn into forever! On October 26, 2019, they tied the knot and celebrated their union at The Patrick Henry Ballroom located in Roanoke, Virginia.
