Wedding Date on Feb 21, 2021

Lots of little girls dream about their wedding; the ceremony, walking down the aisle, their big white dress. But even when Lydia was a little girl her wedding dreams always focused on one thing. The Dance Party. Yes, OF COURSE all those other moments are important and the vows are what the wedding is all about, but you could tell from Lydia & Austin’s faces on the dance floor that THIS was the moment they had been dreaming of. Celebrating with their people on the dance floor, screaming, jumping, and flipping into their new life together. As if getting married isn’t already crazy enough, their wedding was during the Texas ‘snowpocalypse.’ The snow hit so hard in Longview (and especially at Dove Hollow Estate) that they even had to coordinate with all of their vendors and guests 2 DAYS before the wedding to push it back from February 20th to February 21st. As epic as the dance party was, and as strikingly beautiful as Dove Hollow was in the snow, what stood out above everything else was the love. The way their friends and family love this couple, the way Lydia & Austin love each other, and above all else their love for Jesus constantly on display throughout the day. If I’m totally honest it was intimidating to create this wedding film, because this couple and this wedding were THAT amazing. Austin & Lydia are the kind of couple that said “we’re moving to Antarctica, it will be fun you should come” your first thought would be “yeah that sounds awesome!” They’re the kind of couple that friends and family would do anything for in a heartbeat.
