Wedding Date on Jan 6, 2021

The story of Lucy and Mitchell, so far. A relationship which started with a mere 700km distance between them, a wedding which was thrice postponed - and 4 (or 5) venue changes. I wanted this film to take you right back to this special day, so I chose to structure it a little differently than I usually would. The whole atmosphere during canapés had such a luxe feel about it - from the endless Aperol Spritz and live jazz band, to the constant laughs & smiling faces - all of this assisted with setting the tone of the film, and through a variety of speeches I was able to hone in on the unique journey these two have had to get to where they are today. I hoped to develop a storyline which represented this journey, touching on the hurdles they have had to overcome to make this wedding happen.
