Daniel and Leslie originally met at Indiana University – Bloomington through mutual friends in 2008, and eventually both came to be in the performance ensemble the Singing Hoosiers. In October 2010, they officially started dating! Upon graduation in May 2011, they had the opportunity to travel across the world to China, where they were able to perform together with their group, and share incredible experiences with each other! Daniel proposed to Leslie on a Tuesday in the December of 2017. He made a delicious dinner at home, and they opened Christmas gifts. However, just when Leslie thought the evening was over, Dan showed Leslie a slideshow he compiled of pictures of the two of them from the last seven years together, set to their favourite song. When the slideshow ended, Daniel led Leslie out through a candlelit kitchen and hallway, into a candlelit living room. Then, in front of their Christmas tree, he gave her an incredible speech, and got down on one knee. The entire evening was an incredible experience for both of them. When asked what they felt was a priority whilst wedding planning, Leslie and Dan said “a videographer! It’s worth every penny – photos are priceless, but it is an incredible difference to see video of your special day. To see your first dance with your partner, the first looks, the laughs and tears with your friends and family, along with the dancing, makes a video of your wedding one of the best decisions – aside from saying “I DO” of course!”
