Wedding Date on Jul 7, 2017

Lance and Kyra met as friends over 10 years ago and in the words of Kyra: “I am definitely not a ‘dater’ but I decided that I needed to try something new. So I picked a week in which I would ask out one of my friends to see if anything would flourish. So Monday was Monday, Tuesday was Tuesday, and Wednesday was Lance. I asked him to go to Apache’ Cafe’s open mic night. We had a great time, laughed, talked, and enjoyed great music. I even paid for our wings! The rest is history, we continued to date for a month and he admonished me (after we went to a Falcon’s football game) not to see anyone else because he planned to do the same. From that point on we have been inseparable.” Lance had always had his eye on Kyra since they worked together: “She had always caught my eye. A young attractive, impeccably dressed woman who worked upstairs named Kyra. Our exchanges were always pleasant and a little flirtatious but it mainly stopped there. One day Kyra and I were talking at work and she mentioned how she was going home to cook dinner that night (spaghetti to be exact). I playfully invited myself over saying that spaghetti was my childhood favorite and I would be over after I left the gym. I went back to work figuring this was another one of our playful exchanges but hoping that it wasn’t. After work, when I was leaving the gym, my phone rang. I saw that it was Kyra and I instantly started grinning. I answered the phone only to hear ‘are you coming or not?’ That was it. They say the way to man’s heart is through his stomach, but this was not the case. What I remember more than the pasta that night was the connection… the conversation… I knew I had to have more. Shortly after we started dating I told her that I didn’t want to date anyone else and I didn’t want her to date anyone else.”
