Wedding Date on Apr 4, 2018

Kim always said everything happens for a reason and meeting Amy was an amazing curveball that came into her life. They met in college their journey has been nothing short of an epic adventure. On the fourth of April 2017, Kimberley and Amy came together with their closest and dearest to celebrate their love on Bruny Island. This was also at a time when the Marriage Laws took away their freedom to be legally married. Despite this, they decided it was time for them to formally acknowledge their commitment to each other. It was a profound experience of love, hope and courage. The Australian marriage laws changed 9/12/17. On their first-year anniversary, they legalised their commitment. Signing the piece of paper was the final piece of the puzzle for them. They decided to make it official back on Bruny Island, Tasmania - standing on the golden shores of Cloudy Bay. Kim said “we had a commitment ceremony last year because it felt right, and it was promises that we made to each other. This year we went back across to Bruny Island to get legally married for us. We signed that piece of paper for us. We didn't have to do this, but did it because it was the missing puzzle piece.” Their marriage was a wonderful celebration of their perseverance, commitment and respect for each other. We wish these beautiful souls all the love and joy in their life together!
