Kim and Amy met are College sweethearts. Their adventure has been a windy road full of twists, turns and bends but it’s also been full of beautiful views and laughter . They’ve got themselves into some unbelievable situations that have created some of the best memories. But what has got them through all of that is their love for each other. I’ve shared Kim’s speech because her heartfelt words really summed it all up. “The lead up to today has been the most crazy, fun, stressful and exciting memories that Amy and I could have asked for. If anyone tells you living in two states, planning a wedding and engagement party together, moving interstate, packing up a house, both getting made redundant, and everything in between in six months is a good idea, let me tell you it’s probably not! But you can do it and all you need around you is the most amazing and supportive network to do so. And today marrying the most beautiful woman in the world in a spectacular location surrounded by our most amazing friends and family has made it all worthwhile. When we decided to plan our wedding, our main objectives were to have each other of course, to bring together the most important people in our lives who we hold most dear to us, to have a beautiful picturesque location and to make a weekend of it to celebrate the most amazing memories ever. I think I may be biased but I think we have not only managed to achieve this but exceed any expectations that we might have had. It has taken us a small army to get us here today and that’s no word of a lie. From the big roles to the small, today wouldn’t have been as magical without all of you who helped. To my amazing chicken and my wife, Amy. Everything happens for a reason and meeting you is one of those amazing curveballs that came into my life. From the first day getting dressed to impress you at college, our journey has been nothing short of an epic adventure – that’s an understatement. We’ve had our challenges, hardships, arguments and plenty of tears but we’ve also had many laughs and adventures and got ourselves into some unbelievable situations that have created some of the best memories. But what has got us through all of those is our love for each other. From the beginning, we’ve always said we just work and almost six years on I stand by that fact. You and I are so very different, but so alike and we truly just work. I remember those early days of our relationship. I would look forward to our good morning and good night texts, picnics in the park with watermelon and giving you paper cranes with sweet messages. Something I will never forget is the light dancing on your face every morning I woke up with you. You’re the most beautiful person inside and out and you’ve made me a better and kinder person. Your unconditional love, kindness and compassion inspires me every day. You are my rock, you are my support, my voice of reason, you let me fly but bring me back to earth to have my feet firmly on the ground. You inspire me every day with your love, beauty and soul. I love you very much and I know to have you by my side as Mrs Gallo that we, the two chickens, will smash those ceilings and any expectations that we or others might have for us.We will create the most beautiful, adventurous and unbelievable lives for ourselves because we have each other and together we can do anything."
