Wedding Date on May 26, 2019

From the couple: We met through a mutual friend while snowboarding in Colorado. Sadly, our romance didn’t begin on that fateful trip, but things finally came to a head on the holiest of Chicago holidays, St. Patty’s Day. A friendship that had grown via text and the occasional barbecue turned into something more that day when Jordan got lost from the group. Turns out Kelly was asking everyone where he was. Which eventually got back to Jordan. Took a month to germinate but that glorious seed had finally sprouted. Shout out to St. Patrick. Two months later, Kelly was introducing Jordan to her parents, and he was asking his brother for a +1 to his wedding because, “We’re going to want Kelly in the family photos.” From there it didn’t take long until we were traveling the world together, living together, and finally, planning a life together. The intention was for it to be a sunset proposal overlooking the ocean in Bora Bora on NYE, but timing has never been her strong suit. So it was a "deep dusk" proposal with jumbled words, a couple tears and a lot of laughs. We came across Chicago Illuminating on Instagram and when we saw it, it was exactly what we were looking for. From then on, all the vendors we chose were ones we vibed with the best and knew they could help us achieve the wedding experience we were seeking.
