Wedding Date on Apr 27, 2019

Lee and Katlin were setup through mutual friends after college. (Yes, they are proof that blind dates can actually work!) Katlin still remembers how sore her cheeks were after their first date from smiling and laughing so much. Katlin did not know Lee well then, but she knew he was special. As the days, weeks, and months passed she began to fall for Lee with each passing day they shared together. Fast forward to nearly three-and-a-half years later, Lee and Katlin were vacationing in Orange Beach, AL with his family. On Friday, July 27, 2018, she was told they were taking family pictures on the beach for Lee's Granny's 80th birthday; so the entire family got dressed in their white and khaki and they all set out for the perfect picture spot. As they began their walk on the beach, Katlin remembers Lee asking her which direction she thought would be best for pictures and then not taking her advice - little did she know what he had planned next. Lee stopped Katlin in the middle of the beach, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Through all of the tears, Katlin remembers repeatedly asking him if he was serious and then eventually happily replying YES! Soon after, they were joined by Lee's family and Katlin's mother - whom Lee had hiding out on the beach without her knowledge. Having their family there and able to share that special moment with them will forever be Katlin's favorite part of our engagement.
