Wedding Date on Jan 9, 2021

Have you ever met a couple that is just completely enamored with each other? Once you hear Katharine and Matthew's story, their strong feelings for each other make a lot more sense. Fate brought them together with a chance meeting on a beach in South Carolina. Matthew and his friends were surfing, and Katharine's mom happened to see them and started taking pictures. After introducing herself to Matthew, she mentioned that she was in town with her daughter who would be coming down to the beach shortly. After Katharine came down and met Matthew, it took less than a day for each of them to realize that there was something special between them, and the rest is history. After just spending a few days together, Katharine and her family went back home to Missouri. Just a few days later, Matthew got a call that Katharine was flying back down to see him again. They knew there was something between them and they wanted to see it through. Only a few months later, Matthew proposed on the same beach where they had met. The wedding day was made even more special by finding a way to include Katharine's late sister, Margaret, who passed away just a couple of years prior and would have been a part of the wedding. Her old wheelchair with a life-size picture of her was set up at the foot of the stage so that she could be there as a bridesmaid. Both Katharine and Matthew wear their hearts on their sleeves. Walk into a room where they are present and you will immediately feel the joy radiating off of them. They are one of those couples that you see together and it just makes sense. Their big personalities showed through so brightly, that capturing their story was one of the easiest I have ever had the chance to film. Every bit of their day was filled with overwhelming joy and excitement for what was to come, not just for the actual marriage ceremony, but for their future life together.
