Kara e-mailed us last August excited and ready to plan her elopement with the love of her life Greg. July 21st was their date they were looking for some gorgeous blue ridge mountain views and we could not wait to capture their story. Sadly on September she emailed us back announcing that her engagement had to end. She was not specific about it at the time but we were very sad about it. Months went by and 2018 came, on March she e-mailed us again and explained that her mom got cancer and she had to put her life on hold and move 12 hours back to Pennsylvania but now the story has a happy ending and she is able to move back and resume her life with her fiancé in North Carolina. Crazy enough July 21st was not yet and we were more than happy to save the date for her again. The week of their elopement finally came and unfortunately the weather has been out of place, Kara was afraid of thunderstorms and rain so she asked if we could move their date to Friday the 20th. We had an engagement that day but we explained and asked the couple if they were okay with moving the hour or date and they were more than happy to do so! Friday came, beautiful and sunny day, we drove up to Craggy Gardens and to our surprise there was a lot of thick fog. We all embraced it and followed what the mountains had for us. What a view we had! The skies open up for Kara and Greg and we were more than honored to share such a beautiful moment with them.
