Have you ever heard of someone being surprised by their own wedding venue on their wedding day? Since Jordan knew pretty quickly that Jake was the one, she went ahead and booked their wedding venue before he even put a ring on her finger. (Talk about trust!) She then surprised him on their wedding day by revealing that their venue was actually attached to a Western art museum! During cocktail hour, they were able to sneak away for a private tour where they got to explore and take in all of the southwestern art and history. It was a beautiful, quiet moment for just the two of them, in the middle of the biggest day of their lives. Jordan and Jake, may you always find the quiet, special moments in the middle of the busyness. Congrats to the Bays!
From the bride: "Jake & I went to high school together, and we knew who each other were, but we never talked. We barely missed each other in college and then he went off to be a pilot and I went to Texas State. Then in 2020 when he was stationed in Afghanistan he messaged me on Instagram and we talked for a whole year and a half before our first date in Corpus when he was home on leave. He had been through a lot leading up to our first date and so had I. I wasn’t even wanting to date anyone but we were in love after our first date. He went back to NY and we become boyfriend and girlfriend after our second date 3 months later at a military ball. Then we got engaged 6 months later…he proposed to me at his dads ranch on the Guadalupe River. But I had already booked the wedding venue before he proposed because I knew he would. Turns out he ended up buying my ring the same day I decided to book a venue. And we’ve been happy weirdos ever since LOL."
