We met when we were both working on the Burn Unit. Trae was doing rotations throughout the hospital and Jess had been on Burn for 3 years at that point. Jess made the first move, casually reaching out to him via FB in a very professional “welcome to the burn unit” manner. Trae, being from Kentucky, played the card of not being familiar with Nashville and needing friends to hang out with/stuff to do. Jess, being the gracious southern Nashville Native that she is obliged and invited him out with a group of friends. He then asked for a one-on-one date and the rest is history.
