I knew Matt's parents for about 2 years before meeting Matt, as I coordinated events for a Catholic CEO group that meets monthly for speaker events. They semi-set us up. We met at an event that I was coordinating in July of 2016. Matt's parents told him to come for the speaker hoping that we would meet there. We didn't start dating until November 20th of that year.
