It was love at first swipe…at least that’s how it all started. After some charming words and Ian’s persistence, a date was set to woo the girl of his dreams. There was a blizzard on its way to Boston and we all know how well Jess does in cold weather so as you all can imagine, convincing her to go out on their first real date in a snowstorm was far from easy. It’s worth mentioning that Jess was in Needham at the time and Ian was in Back Bay so after much convincing, he hopped in his car and made the trek through the blizzard to sweep her off her feet. Four years later and over a year of living together in Southie Ian knew it was time to take the next step. After much planning Ian booked a trip for him and Jess to Nantucket for 3 days at the end of June. Little did Jess know their lives would change forever. Between sneaking the ring through airport security, to wearing a vest to the Brandt Point Lighthouse (when it was 70 degrees), he got the ring to the beach without blowing the surprise. As sunset quickly approached Ian got down on one knee at the foot of the lighthouse and made both his and Jess’ dreams come true. The celebration had officially begun, and the nerves subsided allowing for what was a weekend neither of them will ever forget. Between getting engaged, becoming Aunt and Uncle’s to Sloane and the future baby Miller, finding the venue of their dreams to tie the knot, to growing their own family by one with the addition of their adorable kitten Tucker, it was and is a year to remember. They couldn’t have done it without their families and friends who have helped with keeping the proposal a secret, guiding them along the way and planning their big day. To the Teal’s and the Levine’s this will be another party to remember. Here’s to #Tealthedeal2019 and the journey to a lifetime full of happiness and love!
