Jeremy and I met in Dentistry college in 2013. When I first saw him, I was drawn to his bright blue eyes, handsome face, and tall stature, but there was something more about him. He was witty, kind, and loved making people laugh. Him and I became best friends in our first 2 years of dental school. We helped each other, studied together, and would often meet for a drink after a hard test or long week. I loved having Jeremy as my best friend. As we entered our third year of dental school, Jeremy and I were closer than ever. He took a risk, and asked me to go on a date with him. I was immediately excited - this handsome, smart, funny guy wanted to take me out. On the other hand, I was nervous - Jeremy was my best friend, I didn't want to risk losing him.The date went fantastic, and well, the rest is history. After we graduated dental school, we both moved to his home town where we work in the same dental clinic. We had been working as dentists for 5 months and things were going great - I loved my career, I loved my boyfriend, and I loved our new home together. It was October 28, 2017, and Jeremy told me to pack a bag - he was taking me on a surprise trip for the weekend. He drove me to a beautiful bed and breakfast at Greig Lake, SK. We spent the day kayaking, hiking, and enjoying the sunshine. We then went back to the lodge where he packed the ingredients to make me my favorite dinner - prosciutto arugula pizza with a bottle of red wine! He made me dinner, we shared the bottle of wine, and we watched as the sun began to set. After dinner, he asked me to go for a walk with him to watch the sun set along the water. We walked down to the lake, where Jeremy turned to me, grabbed my hands, got down on one knee, and asked me to spend forever with him. I of course said yes, and we cried, hugged, and topped off the evening with a bottle of champagne. Our wedding took place at Candle Lake, SK where I grew up every summer. It was a beautiful day as our family and friends watched me marry my best friend and love of my life.
