Wedding Date on Oct 11, 2021

How did you two meet? "We work together, actually our offices are right next door to each other. I started working here almost 8 3/4 years ago, so we technically met then. Through the years, people at work would tell me I should go on a date with Jon, but I am pretty shy that way and brushed them off. Things changed for us in spring 2017 when we kept bumping into each other outside of work and spent a little time together. Jon is great with math, so that summer when I decided to paint my house and had some questions on measuring, I naturally asked him. He offered to come help me and then began to follow my painting journey. "Who's going to help you paint this?" he said. "Just me," I said...and after that he began to offer to come help me 'because someone has to do it', and after awhile of late nights after work painting and prepping, we started to really like each other's company. Jon says the day he knew he loved me was the day I was drinking a whole bottle of wine while we were ripping out some fencing, singing along to the music, and just laid on the grass in exasperation from the heat (and wine). He is a total gentleman and made sure I got inside safe that night. I knew I loved him on a car ride home from our first weekend out of town to see a concert (Coldplay, it was awesome btw!) - when we were talking about aspects of having a relationship together, he said "for as long as I'm on this earth, I will make sure you are cared for until my last breath." It was perfect and I melted." From Jenn: "I have always dreamed of getting married on the coast/cliffs of Ireland...or near/in a super old and cool castle over there. I love the dramatic skies, the jagged cliffs and the endless water after that. That isn't exactly an easy thing to arrange these days, so I felt Oregon had that similar vibe and beautiful scenery to be a great substitute! Jon was up for the adventure :)"
