We watched probably 50 different videographer's videos online and nothing seemed to quite capture a wedding ceremony/reception in a style that matched what we love about Scotland as well as you. Oh, plus that sweet sweet drone footage. It feels to us like you've got the complete package. Mastery of cinematography - the drone footage, the handheld camera movement (not quite Paul Greengrass, which is good), the artistry, the editing, the music... It all just seemed perfect. It's quite a movie-like feeling that combines fabulous aerial establishing shots with the intimate close-ups. The cinematography told a story on its own, only improved by the fact that the events captured were as personal and romantic and special as they were. We couldn't think of anyone better based on the products you've already put out.
Like all couples we're extremely similar in some ways and very different in others. We like to say that we're co-chefs (we cook together all the time. Eating and cooking are passions, and when possible it should be a joint exercise), drinking buddies (we're big craft beer fans and even bigger distilled spirit fans. We LOVE checking out new breweries and new distilleries and are thankful we can afford to have a couple of spendy bottles of whisky around at all times), travel buddies (we don't have kids so we're fortunate to be able to travel - Mexico, Czech Republic, Scotland, San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Maine, New Mexico, Montana, and a bevy of Colorado mountain drives and mountain towns), dinner dates (we love food, we love eating, and we love culinary exploration. Food is, and should be, a passionate shared adventure), and more. Jason is a huge sports fan so Jana will begrudgingly don his teams favorite gear in support (except Liverpool, she's an Everton fan) to watch or attend sporting events. Jana is a former figure skater and Jason begrudgingly watches figure skating when it's on. Jana's good at math and horrible at words, I'm great with words and horrible at math. We spend our time doing all these things, plus reading and playing with our dog Oban (yeah, he's named after *that* Oban). We're both politically active and very progressive. We love standup comedy. We crave lazy weekends as much as we delight in periodic fits of productivity punctuating the laziness. We're a little bit of everything. It's important for us to celebrate the everything, support each other in our endeavors, always be honest and transparent with one another, and attack life as a team. We're in this together, so we've got each others backs.
As I mentioned before, the Scottish highlands are among the most beautiful places we've ever been. It was instantly incredibly special to us when we visited in 2019. It's incredibly romantic, and a very unique place to get married - especially for Americans. We can't think of anything better.
