Wedding Date on Sep 29, 2018

From the Bride: Ben and I met in Birmingham, Alabama while I was about to graduate from law school and move home to Detroit, and he was about to move to Durham, North Carolina to attend Duke University. We decided early on that long distance was out of the question… until it wasn’t. Two and a half years of long distance dating later, I moved to Charlotte so we could start our lives together (in the same city). Fast forward to almost two years, another bar license, a puppy, a new house, and seventeen weddings (literally), and we still weren’t engaged. We had talked about it (a lot…), so the more time passed, the harder it was going to be to surprise me. I was constantly on guard. “He asked me to take the dog on a walk with him, is he going to propose on a hike? He asked me to help him take out the trash, are there rose petals in our driveway?”. A year later, we were married at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in Charleston, SC and had our literal dream wedding. Everything was perfect, even if it took six years to get there. We are so grateful for all of the love and support our families and friends showed us at our wedding and throughout our lives. We love you, from the bottom of our hearts.
