Wedding Date on Oct 24, 2020

Jamel and Jon have a love story for the books. Their first interactions were back in 2012 when Jamel would frequent TD Bank to make her bank deposits. Jon worked at the bank and Jamel and her friends always joked that he was "the cute bank teller with the long eyelashes." A year later in 2013, Jamel went to her family friend's (Odette's) graduation party where she was surprised to see Jon attending and talking to her mom. She remembers being confused and thinking, "why is my bank teller at my family friend's graduation party?" She then found out that Jon was Odette's cousin and that her whole family knew him since he was a baby. Years went by and Jamel and Jon saw each other briefly at family events, weddings, etc. (Odette ended up marrying Jamel's brother!) In these years, Jamel quit her job in corporate to start her Illustrations company (Melsy's Illustrations) and moved to NYC while Jon lived in Boston. Fast forward to 2019 when Jamel got an invite from Odette to attend a Celine Dion concert. Odette also invited Jon, her cousin, with hopes of finally setting them up! Her matchmaking skills were a success and this is when the stars FINALLY aligned for Jamel and Jon! After that Celine Dion concert, the two became inseparable. They underwent quarantine together and got engaged! Both of their families already knew each other and it was like they were meant to be from the start! They didn't want to wait any longer, so decided to get married shortly after their engagement! They had a traditional Lebanese wedding and celebrated with 55 of their closest friends and family! Jamel designed her own invitations through her business Melsy's Illustrations! Unfortunately due to the pandemic, Jon's father, who previously battled cancer, was not able to attend the wedding because of health reasons. He ended up calling in during the reception to make a toast and had everybody sobbing. It was such a special moment that we were so happy to capture for them.
