Jackie & Ian met at a trivia night and hit it off instantly. The only problem was, they forgot to exchange numbers. After kicking themselves for their mistake, they soon rediscovered each other on a dating app, and the rest is now history. The two of them enjoy cooking, fly fishing, and skiing together, and their personalities could not complement each other any better.
They got married at perhaps the most beautiful wedding venue we have ever been to. Tucked away in a valley, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with a peaceful (and rainbow trout stocked) pond at the center of the venue.
We wanted the words of their friends & family, paired with the natural beauty of the landscape to really shine through in their film.
Jackie & Ian are truly such genuine, live-life-to-the-fullest type people. And the way that their people champion them makes it so evident just how welcoming, inviting, and warm they really are.
Their wedding party, moments before the ceremony, gathered around them to share some impromptu memories and encouraging words — and this is one of our favorite parts of their film. This moment really set the tone for the rest of the day and the celebration, presence, and intentionality that was to follow. Their day was full of affirmations of their incredible relationship, touches of their personalities (I mean they brought out their fly fishing rods and went fishing during cocktail hour, c’mon!), and a rowdy dance party.
It was such an honor to be brought into these two’s relationship and to see the way they balance each other and love each other in their own ways.
This wedding was a true example of what weddings should be. True to themselves & genuinely just a good time for them, as well as all of their guests, who were able to enjoy a joyous and beautiful time in the mountains celebrating this new marriage.
