From The Brides of Oklahoma: College sweethearts Jackie and Eitan fell in love a decade ago at the University of Michigan before following their careers to New York City. While vacationing in Colorado, Eitan surprised Jackie with an elaborate proposal atop Aspen Mountain. The pair began planning their wedding celebration in Eitan’s hometown of Oklahoma City, a city most of their coastal guests had never dreamed of visiting. Their vision revolved around treating guests to a weekend of fun and southern hospitality. They fell for the luxurious 21c Museum Hotel, a restored Ford factory with lofted ceilings and casement windows, and booked the venue while it was still under construction. Sure enough, it was perfect for their three- day affair. Festivities kicked off Friday with Shabbat dinner and a cocktail party hosted by dear friends and on Saturday, Jackie and Eitan played up the Oklahoma City surroundings with a “cowboy couture” rehearsal dinner at Park House. The couple’s Sunday wedding ceremony was held at the Devon Boathouse, a modern glass building overlooking the river. Jackie walked down the aisle in a silk crepe gown by Vera Wang. She added a cathedral veil and lace bolero for the ceremony, and went sleeveless for the reception. Eitan wore a navy Brunello Cucinelli tuxedo and black Tom Ford velvet bow tie. A white pocket square over Eitan’s heart read, “JMT,” one of many tributes throughout the weekend to his late best friend who was dearly missed. When Eitan broke the glass and the crowd yelled, “Mazel tov,” the night sky lit up with surprise fireworks. The party continued at 21c where cocktails flowed and guests danced all night to Austin’s Uptown Drive band. Minimalist decor of textured white linens and abundant floating candles complemented the modern architecture of the modern art museum.
