Wedding Date on Sep 1, 2018

Ian and I met at work! I had a crush on him since the day he first walked into the office in New York. We were friends at first, but after a few months it turned into an office romance, and eventually a serious relationship. We moved from New York to Chicago together in 2015. In June 2017, while visiting New York City for a weekend, Ian asked me to marry him. After he asked, another surprise followed as all of our family and friends were there to celebrate.Being from different parts of the country - Ian from the Midwest, and myself from Philadelphia - we had a hard time deciding on a wedding location. We have friends from all over the place, so we knew that the wedding was going to be a 'destination' for most people no matter where we held it. I studied abroad in Italy 10 years ago, and Ian and I took a trip to Italy in 2016. We both love the country and the memories we have made there, so when thinking of a destination wedding, Italy was a no brainer. We found Villa La Selva Wine Resort online, fell in love with the venue and the people who worked there, and we were lucky enough to visit ahead of time for some wedding planning. We had so much fun planning, and even more fun at the wedding. We are so happy we have this beautiful wedding video as reminder of the unforgettable night we had!
