How We Met: Logan and I met while in college at The Ohio State University. It was the famous mirror lake jump night, the week Ohio State and Michigan play each other in football. We both had mutual friends, but had never met. Right before we all went to jump in the lake, my friends and I went to the baseball house to meet up with some friends, (Logan played baseball) we were introduced there and we have been inseparable ever since. How He Asked: I was working in New York City at Kleinfeld Bridal this summer. Logan and I were doing long distance. It was my last weekend in the city before I went home to Ohio, and my birthday weekend. I was pretty bummed I couldn’t spend my birthday with Logan. On Friday, July 31, my girlfriends and I decided to take a trip over to the Brooklyn Bridge, and Brooklyn Bridge Park to have some lunch and take a couple blog pictures. While I was being photographed, I turned around and Logan was standing there all dressed up. I had never been so happy to see him! He began to tell me how much he loved me and that’s when I started to figure out what was about to happen. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was all caught on camera, and he had my friends in on it the whole time! The Wedding: From there, the pair traveled to Charleston for their wedding (she says it was on a trip here that they knew each other was “the one”), and fashioned a gorgeous fete in almost all white to echo the icy crisp hue of Lowndes Grove Plantation’s manse. “When I say all white,” says Hillary, “I mean all white. I got so many looks while we ordered white bridesmaid dresses. “Isn’t the bride supposed to be the only one in white?” everyone asked. Traditionally, yes, but I have never been one to follow the crowd.”
