From The Bride: Before I even met my husband I had a vision of how our wedding day would look like. (Every girl does right?) HAHA. I think we all have this fairytale vision until the planning process actually gets here and you realize how expensive everything that has the word “wedding” is. That wasn’t going to discourage Dana and I though. We still wanted to have our dream wedding, so we began budgeting. The vision of the ceremony was a mix of charming, classic and modern. I really wanted the ceremony to have a beautiful view of a garden. We ended up finding a historic home in Leesburg, VA called Rust Manor. The Manor had everything we wanted, the modern touch of the white tent they provide along with the charming gardens where we had our ceremony. In order to keep our budget, my bridesmaids and I created most of the decorations. We used Ricks flowers to add a romantic and classic touch by using all white hydrangeas with roses as the centerpieces and the bouquets. We had 13 months to plan the wedding from the day he proposed, March 2nd, 2015 to the day we said “I Do” April 2nd 2016. We promised each other one thing in the beginning of our engagement, and that was to put our relationship first before the wedding planning, and that was exactly what we did. I can say for a fact that because of that promise, the wedding planning was not stressful, I was able to enjoy every step with my best friend and when it was time for our BIG day we were well positioned for our happily every after.
