On Haley and Clayton's first date, Haley showed up 30 minutes late and Clayton had ordered her the largest size of her "made-up order," as she called it. She says this is the moment she knew he was the one. Clayton proposed to Haley on the beach in St. Martin. Phew. Y’all. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I got emotional editing this film. These two are some of the most special people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. They are everything that is lovely, fun, and joyful. When I first met Haley, we were in youth group together and I remember that my first impression of her was “whoa, I’ve never met a more extroverted person in my life.” Then, I quickly realized it was so much more than being extroverted for Haley, it was that she just LOVED people. And I don’t mean just her friend group or those that liked her, she loved EVERYONE. All people. People who were like her and people who were not. Her grace, acceptance, and empathy are inspiring. I met Clayton once (I think? Maybe twice) before their wedding in a Target of all places LOL. While he didn’t say much then, I knew he had to be pretty special since Haley had chosen him to spend her life with. After their wedding, we all got to shoot another wedding together and it was clear to see that these two make an amazing team. After seeing these two together, I realized that they bring the best energy into any situation. Their wedding day was so special because it was so THEM! While there were many highlights; their sweet first look, emotional vows, an epic dance party, and a taco bar, my personal favorite was the icecream truck that they surprised their guests with during the reception. I'll stop talking now before this turns into a reception toast. Hope you enjoy this look into their big day and rest in the fact that even though this day was so beautiful and amazing, it is a tiny glimpse into the love that these two share. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Tinkle!
